Pancho's Plan Part 2

With Roy Race battling a career threatening injury the 1986/87 season had fizzled out for Melchester Rovers. Safely in mid-table and with the League Cup in the trophy cabinet, interim manager Blackie Gray had decided to use the remaining matches to blood some of Rovers' talented young players. 1. Hi storky, happy new year! I recalled these days that in the past u were working on a mexico '86 story. There s a picture in the monthlies where malandro scores for brazil against spain. I d like to see that world cup out there. England would go with bobby robson, scotland with hamish balfour (?), brazil with malandro and agostina da silva (from rotr story "the legend"), italy with zardelli, and germany with karl bruckner possibly.

    1. The story wasn't very good. There just aren't enough images from the 85/86 season to work with. I will try and finish a short version with that art work and do a flash back story using the new art from 86/87 onwards.

The half finished story introduces the England squad, with Bobby Robson telling the press about his plans. I've got Mervyn Wallace as his assistant to provide the Rovers link.

The Pancho's Plan story has two or three parts to go. Then I'll have a go at finishing the World Cup one. I really like the Pancho Miller character and don't understand why Roy hated him so much. That's what this story will reveal. Pancho must have played for Scotland in 86 too, being a star in the Italian league.
